It got to be about 3.00 pm and my in-for-the-weekend riding comrades still had a hunger for a few more runs. As they should—all things considered—conditions were exceptional. Here’s twenty-five plus shots of just people watchin’ that I believe are worth sharing. Nothing says, “Come to Central Vermont” like smiling faces, [...] Whether it’s emails or Facebook messages, the question that comes up the most often the last last couple weeks isn’t “Will it be Mitt?” or “When will Linsanity end?” or even “Why can’t the Pats beat the Giants?” The question that keeps repeating is: “Is there snow up there?” And the answer? Oh yes! Come and get [...] Over 700 images in just four days. And those are just the one that made the cut. Damn, that’s a lot of shootin’. Agreed, shot by shot some could be tossed out. But as a collection of images aiming to capture the ebb and flow of a moment, sometimes just-okay shots help to establish pace and plot for the killer visual [...] Dew Day 3 started where Day 2 left off—at Jax. The NJ-ites were a bit off on their E.T.A. so fashionably late meant a post-midnight arrival. Not to worry, Ms. JH & her band of bunnies wasted no time warming up to the dance tune covers of Jamie & Aaron Audet. As for the day’s day at Bear Mtn, it’s was pretty damn Dew-licious. [...] In retrospect, yesterday might have been a bit too good to be true. Mother Nature pushed back a bit on Day 2 and that push-back took the form of wind, wind and more wind. She squashed one of the slopestyle events and came close to doing the same in the super-pipe. Sarah Burke and the risks of going extra big were on the minds of many. Once again, let’s cut the chatter and roll the [...] The obligatory Day 1 is behind us and in the record books. Now we stare down the beast. It’s Friday, officially the weekend and things are about to hit full stride. Can you feel it? It couldn’t have been a better day. Sunshine and normal Winter temps. Mountain Ops won the battle with Mother Nature. Everything looked to be in top form with the word of the day being “fast”. This will be the second stop for the Pantech Invitational. Many of the top athletes in snowboarding and freeskiing will battle it out for points toward the Dew Cup. So round up some friends. For everyone else, the renown BMMC is back on Outer Limits this coming weekend (2-3 April 2011). A couple months back, through the magic of Facebook, KYR connected with one of the new kids on the must-love-snow block, Lucky [...] This weekend, 29-30 January 2011, Alli Sports (AlliSports.com) presents the Gatorade Free Flow Tour at Killington [...] Great entertainment and great people made for a great weekend. Thanks again to everyone who showed up to share the [...] Yes, it was a bit too the below-average side of cold, but my gawd there were toddlers who roughed it and seemed to be lovin’ every minute of it.
