Snoe.down 2011 :: Friday at Killington Resort

Good gawd, it’s was quite the afternoon of aural ambition. Drop kicking it off, The London Souls (TheLondonSouls.com) set the bar high, hard and ballsy. It’s a shame there weren’t more K1 heads on hand to get fire hosed by their blue blasted and sometimes blissful urgency. If you missed it, it was your loss.

From there it was up the Superstar chair and over the back of the hill to the Bear Lodge. Dangermuffin (DangerMuffinMusic.com) laid out a tasty spread of  frequently ragga-fied jammies. It was obvious these guys loved their work. And so did everyone else in the room. At 3.30pm they were followed by the five-piece Timbre Coup (TimbreCoup.com). Their meal was distinct and hopped up with progressive spices. But 4.00pm came fast and it was time to catch one of the last chairs out of Bear and back to K1.

And then finally The Brew (TheBrew.biz) closed out the daylight portion of today’s program. This time the head count at K1 was plentiful, and The Brew took full advantage of the situation. They boldly declared the party had begun.  It was obvious and official, Snoe.down 2011 had hit full stride.

Apologies to Timbre Coup for less-than-ideal coverage. The last chair out of Bear was 4.00pm and getting back to K1, The Brew (and the car) took priority.
