Chillin' at the Salt Ash Inn

“Stop by some time. Let’s talk over a couple beers—on the house of course,” came the invite from Cory at  Salt Ash Inn a couple weeks ago. Yesterday evening a plan finally came together. The result was a seminal moment in what KYR is all about—capturing the good times and good people that ultimately define the broad and versatile personality of the area. The Dew Tour is gonna be sweet, but so are casual mid-week gatherings like last night. Amen!

The setting at Salt Ash Inn is laid back, intimate and classic rustic Vermont. Last night that was complimented with fire pit, cold beer, and a dozen or so very friendly and talkative souls. Oh yeah, and some pizza. It wasn’t quite New Year’s Eve but it sure felt good to be alive.

If you’re not familiar with the area, Plymouth, Vt is about half way between Killington Resort and Okemo—maybe 20 minutes drive in either direction. If you’re looking to work both sides of the fence, it doesn’t get more convenient than that. KYR will be doing a proper Spotlight on SAI soon but in the meantime: Or better still, if you’re at Pico tomorrow look for Cory, Al & Crew to be doing a pre-NYE tailgate BBQ in the parking lot.

BTW, this isn’t exactly the best KYR photo set so please don’t hold that against SAI. At some point being in the moment became more important than trying to capture it.
